Kneehills Creek Valley (Part 2)

old railway bridge foundation (17 kb)

This is where the railway bridge used to cross the creek. It is located
just below the West Viewpoint. [sorry about the quality, the next photos are much better]

old railway roadbed, looking east (39 kb)

This is the old railway roadbed as it heads east. The lake (small muddy pond)
that is in the other Kneehills Valley file is in the trees on the left.

the valley from the north side (31 kb)

This is the east end of the valley as seen from a hill in the north.
The East Viewpoint is around the corner, just to the left of center of the photo.

the entrance to the east leg of Horseshoe canyon. (41 kb)

This is the entrance to the east leg of horseshoe canyon.
You can see the cows on the hill on the left.

the trees in the valley (62 kb)

Just below the East Viewpoint, you see a pleasant area with some trees.
The creek was poluted on this day in 1997, but in 2000 and 2001 it appeared reasonably clean.
